The practice of Acupuncture is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It has a history of more than 3000 years of successfully diagnosing, treating, and preventing illness. Acupuncture involves inserting very fine, pre-sterilized, disposable (single-use only) surgical-grade stainless steel needles into specific points to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal. When appropriate, Acupuncture may be combined with other TCM methods, such as moxibustion, acupressure, or cupping.

Nowadays, Acupuncture is popular because it cures many conditions which conventional western medicine can not deal with. Some patients feel discomfort with some symptoms. When they visit their Doctors and do all the Laboratory or other related examins, there are no any positive findings. That means your internal organs are experiencing dysfunction, not structure change. That's why your family Dr. couldn't do anything. It's time to seek alternative ways to adjust and optimize your systems in order to restore the normal function. Acupuncture with Chinese herbal is the one of the natural ways to cure with minimal side effects.

How does Acupuncture work?

Everyone has Acupuncture channels, called meridians which flow throughout the body distributing Qi (Pronounced “chee”). Qi can be thought of as vital energy or life force. Health problems arise when there is an obstruction in the flow of Qi or when the supply of Qi is inadequate. Acupuncture works by removing these obstructions or by normalizing the Qi flow, thereby restoring health and normal function. Modern research has shown that stimulating Acupuncture points in the channels decreases inflammation, increases endorphins to relieve pain, regulates blood circulation, enhances lymphatic drainage; stimulates neurotransmitter, hormone secretion, and boosts the immune system. Regularly tunning up of energy by Acupuncture can prevent cancer, flu, and enhance your overall health both physically and mentally.

Does it hurt?

Experiences with Acupuncture vary from person to person. Many feel nothing at all while some may notice a small sensation as the needle is inserted. Once the needle is introduced, one may experience local feelings of tingling, distention, heaviness, or shooting sensation in surrounding areas which is considered to be the positive sensations, in Chinese words called “de Qi”, which means the energy is arriving in that area and doing the treatment. After needles are removed, most of patients will feel relief of the symptoms. Some will still feel the sensation up to a few hours to 48 hours after the treatment. That means the therapeutic effect last longer.

Are there any side effects?

Acupuncture is a safe, effective, and drug-free therapy when practiced by a competent Acupuncturist. Many people often report the positive side effects of increased relaxation, improved sleep, and a general sense of well-being.

Research

Throughout the history of Traditional Chinese Medicine, extensive and thorough research has been done. This research has documented and verified the benefits of Acupuncture, herbal medicines and other related TCM therapies. In more recent years, research has been conducted in conjunction with modern Western Medicine. Numerous papers reporting experiments and clinical trials have been published internationally in medical journals, newspapers, and on the internet. Research continues today in China, as well as in many other countries around the world.

For some acute conditions, it’s crucial to get twice a week during the first month in order to get a consistent stimulation of the Acu-points to achieve a stable effect; after the symptoms are mostly relieved, the patient will come once a week until the patient feel more balanced or symptoms disappear completely; then the patient will come once every two weeks or once a month to maintain the treatment effect to achieve long term health.
