Chinese herbal medicine in TCM

Chinese herbal medicine is one part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a health system that has evolved over centuries. It uses herbs and prepared botanical products—often in combination—within a TCM assessment framework.

Your consultation considers your health history, current concerns, medications, supplements, and daily patterns. When herbal care is appropriate, a formula may be selected and adjusted for the individual.

Our herbal medicine practice

Our clinic keeps a working dispensary of prepared herbal products and traditional ingredients. Every recommendation begins with a private consultation and a review of relevant health information.
Follow-up gives us time to discuss how the plan fits your routine, answer questions, and determine whether any adjustment is appropriate.
  1. One-to-one consultation
  2. TCM-informed assessment
  3. Individual use and follow-up guidance

How it works

The process is simple and collaborative. Please bring a current list of medications and supplements to your first visit.

01      Consultation

We begin with your health history, current concerns, goals, allergies, medications, supplements, and questions about herbal care.

02     TCM assessment

Your practitioner reviews the information through a Traditional Chinese Medicine lens and discusses whether herbal medicine is suitable for you.

03     Individualized formula

If appropriate, you receive a tailored recommendation with clear directions for use, precautions, and a plan for follow-up.

Important information

Share your full list. Tell us about prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, supplements, allergies, and medical conditions.
“Natural” does not always mean risk-free. Safe herbal care depends on complete, current health information.
Tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning treatment for a child. Additional medical guidance may be needed.

Herbal products can cause side effects or interactions. Contact your practitioner if you notice an unexpected reaction.

Keep prescribed care in place. Do not stop or delay medical treatment without speaking with your doctor or pharmacist.
